The Zimmer lab is a vibrant and international research group whose shared goal it is to better understand how brains work. In particular we are studying two brains – that of the nematode worm C. elegans and of the tiny fish Danionella cerebrum.

The position entails maintaining our fish population. This includes monitoring and feeding the fish, breeding and rearing offspring, monitoring and maintaining water parameters, cleaning tanks and maintaining live food populations.

The 20 hours have to be distributed across all weekdays (Monday – Friday) in the morning, with some flexibility.

The applicant has to be a University student who has not completed a masters degree!
